The joinery details in VEEDU projects expresses an openness yet hold the privacy of the space . Generally, a door shutter is used to divide or separate the space which will eventually detaches itself from other surrounding space. So, we followed two fundamentals to make the room or an open space liveable . The door shutters used are designed with fixed wooden louvers in spaces like dresser , kitchen , poojai etc to maintain the ventilation .And for more lighting across rooms lintel level windows are executed with wired glass.
The main entry door was constructed with teak wood finished with clear sealer coating to elevated the natural characteristic of the wood used.The overall proportion of the door shutter is massive in size with 4'6" wide opening x 9' height attached with a centre pivot windows with wired glass finish of size 3' width x 6' height to interconnect with the outside environment for basic needed fundamentals.
We also proposed a custom made brass door handles which has its own material characteristic. .Over the period of time the shade of the brass tends to change thus express the design emotion we wanted in our designs.
