The brief was to design a weekend house sited in a hilly terrain in the southern part of India. The main strategy was to take advantage of the contours so that it blends with the surrounding site context. The simple form of the building captures the wind movement allowing for cross ventilation throughout the building.

Between the aspects of affordable housing (the clients budget ) and luxury homes (the clients aspiration), identifying the synergy and the trade offs between them was an interesting aspect of the design. The simple yet spacious and modern interventions aided to achieve the brief given by the client.
